Job summary

Doctolib seeks a Research Scientist for its Doctolab team (Doctolib Clinical AI Research Lab) in Paris. You will build clinically reliable models of patient health from health data at scale, and publish work that can be deployed to doctors and patients.

We value researchers who can explain why a question matters and work with data science and product teams to translate research into clinical-grade features, with opportunities to publish and influence the lab’s agenda.

Qualifications

• PhD in ML/CS or related field or a Master’s with strong research background.
• Strong publication record in leading ML/health venues.
• Proficient in Python and PyTorch; able to train models.
• Experience with healthcare data is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build a world model of patient health from observational data with confounding accounted for.
• Develop evaluation methods for calibration, robustness, interpretability and privacy.
• Collaborate with data science and product teams to translate research into features.
• Publish at leading ML and health informatics venues.
• Engage with the international ML community through challenges and benchmarks.
• Help define the lab’s research agenda and its collaboration with the company.
