JD.COM France in Paris is seeking a packaging and logistics equipment strategy lead to own the full lifecycle of packaging tools and systems. You will drive standardization, lightweighting, and cost-reduction initiatives while developing sustainable packaging solutions for both domestic and international markets.

You will collaborate with procurement and operations, perform data-driven evaluations, and manage projects with AutoCAD and MS Office to deliver cost, efficiency, and safety

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging/Logistics/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • At least five years of experience in packaging planning, logistics equipment planning, or logistics operations.
  • Strong data analysis and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; PMP or simulation tools experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with European packaging regulations and environmental requirements.

Responsabilités

  • Develop the overall strategy and manage the full lifecycle of packaging and logistics equipment and tools, including requirements analysis, technical evaluation, solution design, implementation, optimization, modification, and phase-out.
  • Lead packaging standardization, lightweighting, and cost-reduction initiatives; develop sustainable and efficient packaging solutions for domestic and international markets.
  • Collaborate with logistics operations teams to identify and resolve packaging-, equipment-, and tool-related issues, and drive implementation.
  • Coordinate with Procurement on technical evaluations, standard development, and cost-reduction initiatives; establish and improve technical specifications and processes.
  • Monitor emerging materials, technologies, and equipment; organize pilot testing and broader implementation; coordinate cross-functional projects to achieve cost, efficiency, quality, and safety goals.

Description du poste

  • Develop the overall strategy and manage the full lifecycle of packaging and logistics equipment and tools, including requirements analysis, technical evaluation, solution design, implementation, optimization, modification, and phase-out.
  • Lead packaging standardization, lightweighting, and cost-reduction initiatives. Develop sustainable and efficient packaging solutions for domestic and international markets and diverse operational scenarios to continuously reduce packaging costs and improve logistics efficiency.
  • Work closely with logistics operations teams to quickly identify packaging-, equipment-, and tool-related issues. Optimize packaging solutions, select appropriate equipment and tools, and drive implementation and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement team on technical evaluations, standard development, and cost-reduction initiatives for packaging materials, logistics equipment, and tools. Establish and continuously improve relevant technical specifications and management processes.
  • Monitor emerging materials, technologies, and equipment in the industry; organize pilot testing and broader implementation. Coordinate key projects and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the achievement of cost, efficiency, quality, and safety objectives.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Packaging Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in packaging planning, logistics equipment planning, or logistics operations, with proven experience in large-scale packaging optimization, equipment planning, or operational efficiency improvement projects.
  • Solid knowledge of packaging design, material applications, and cost evaluation, as well as logistics equipment and tools used in warehousing, material handling, packaging, and sorting operations. Strong capabilities in equipment selection and technical evaluation are required.
  • Strong data analysis and project management skills, with proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. PMP certification or experience with simulation tools or equipment management system development is preferred.
  • Strong logical thinking, innovative mindset, and cross-functional communication and coordination skills. Proactive, accountable, and capable of driving complex projects through to successful implementation.
  • Familiarity with European packaging regulations and environmental requirements. Experience implementing packaging solutions for European operations is preferred.
