Rarebreed Veterinary Partners is seeking an Overnight Veterinary Technician to join our emergency team. You’ll work in a fast-paced hospital, using state-of-the-art facilities to deliver high-quality care for hospitalized and emergency patients.

We value hands-on technicians with strong technical skills and a collaborative spirit. This role offers flexible scheduling, with a focus on compassionate patient care and teamwork in Hartford-area facilities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as a Veterinary Technician required (not just an assistant).
• Ability to perform core technical skills including blood draws, catheter placement, patient monitoring, and surgical assistance.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care and technical support to hospitalized and emergency patients.
• Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist veterinarians during surgeries and medical procedures.
• Assist with diagnostics including bloodwork, radiographs, and laboratory testing.
• Monitor patient vitals, maintain treatment records, and communicate updates to the team.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
• Support patient restraint and handling while ensuring a low-stress experience for pets.
• Maintain a clean, organized treatment area and stock supplies.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to provide exceptional care.
