Hamilton Building Supply is seeking an Outside Sales Associate to deliver superior customer service and help grow the customer base. The role focuses on increasing margin, meeting monthly quotas, and improving satisfaction while leveraging building/construction industry knowledge.

The candidate should be familiar with selling building materials, estimating and pricing, and maintaining strong relationships with contractors, architects, and customers. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in building materials sales.
• 2 years working with customers, contractors, and architects for Windows/Doors/Millwork.
• 2 years proficiency in plan take-offs, project walkthroughs, measuring and product specifying.
• Driver’s license required.
• MS Office/Outlook and POS software familiarity.

Responsabilités

• Selling building materials to customers from the service counter.
• Grow existing customer base via prospecting, account development, quoting and follow-up.
• Utilize reports to track customer purchasing history.
• Process quotes and requests for customer accounts individually or in teams.
• Set project budgets and provide customized solutions.
• Apply target margins to establish pricing guidelines by category.
• Develop loyalty/pricing programs for customers.

Hamilton Building Supply is seeking a candidate for an Outside Sales Associate. The Outside Sales Associate should provide exceptional customer service to our existing customers and help create new customers with the objective of increasing margin, meeting or exceeding monthly sales quotas and increasing customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate should be very familiar with the building/construction industry.

Hamilton Building Supply is a 2021 Lumber and Building Material Dealer of the Year and has been independent for 101 years. HBS is financially strong, and family owned.

Responsibilities

• Selling building materials to our customers from the customer service counter.


• Maintaining and growing existing customer base through prospecting, sales account development, quoting and customer follow-up.


• Utilize automated reports to maintain insight on customers and purchasing history.


• Process quotes and other requests for all customer accounts independently or as team as needs dictate.


• Establish project/product budgets for customers and provide customized solutions.


• Utilize specified targets margins for various product categories to establish pricing guidelines.


• Develop unique and specific customer loyalty/pricing programs

Requirements

• Experience in building materials sales: 5 years required


• Experience working with customers, contractors, and architects to select Windows, Doors, and other Millwork items: 2 years required


• Proficiency in plan take-offs, project walk-through’s, measuring and product specifying: 2 years required


• Driver’s License: required


• Spanish Bilingual proficiency: a plus


• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and POS software: required
