Job summary

roadsurfer is seeking a Station Manager to lead an on-site team and oversee daily operations at the station. You will drive process improvements, coordinate vehicle returns and handovers, and collaborate with international teams to enhance customer experiences across Europe.

The role requires leadership experience, a customer-focused mindset, and strong communication. A driver’s license and English fluency are essential; German or local language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Training or studies in a relevant subject or comparable qualification.
• 1–2 years of relevant work experience (car rental, tourism or similar).
• Experience leading employees or teams is advantageous.
• High service and customer orientation with a friendly and open demeanor.
• Hands-on and effective communicator.
• Resilient problem solver and highly organized.
• Fluent English, and fluent in the local country language.

Responsibilities

• Station location management and independent leadership of the site, coordinating with central departments.
• Implement and optimize processes, coordinating vehicle returns, handovers, and preparation.
• Maintain ongoing communication with other roadsurfer stations to drive improvements.
• Lead and develop the on-site team, plan tasks, and ensure quality control.
• Recruit and build the local team to fit the location needs.
• Oversee fleet management: documentation, maintenance, cleanliness, and partner coordination.
• Advise customers on roadsurfer products and services to create happy customers.

The role - your passion

• Your roadsurfer Station - Location Management : You take on the independent leadership and establishment of the location, closely collaborating with central departments to oversee day-to-day operations on-site

• Process Optimization : You successfully implement existing standards and processes while contributing your own ideas (coordinating vehicle returns, handovers, and vehicle preparation)

• Collaboration with roadsurfer Stations : You maintain constant communication with all international teams to ensure ongoing improvements

• Team Leadership : As a Team Leader, you motivate and lead your on-site team. This includes onboarding, effective task planning, and quality control

• Recruitment : You have control over building your team and seek the right talent for your location

• Fleet Management: You always have an overview of the local vehicle fleet for rental and sales: documentation, maintenance, cleanliness, and coordination with local service partners

• Customer Consultation : You advise customers on our products, myroadsurfer, abo, spots, and rent, and send them out as happy roadsurfers on the roads of Europe

What you need to surf the wave with us

• Successfully completed training or studies in a relevant subject area or comparable qualification

• At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in areas such as car rental, tourism, or similar - career changers are welcome

• Experience in leading employees or teams is advantageous

• High service and customer orientation with a friendly and open demeanor

• You are a hands-on and effective communicator

• You are a resilient problem solver and highly organized

• You speak excellent english, on top you also speak the language for the country you applied for fluently

• Driver’s license Class B

Your Salary
We transparency. The salary range for this position is between 36,000 EUR and 38,000 EUR gross per year. We are currently introducing salary bands in our job descriptions to ensure that all employees are treated fairly. Once we get to know each other better during the application process and can assess your skills and experience more precisely, we will work together to determine which level within the salary band is the best fit for you. In an annual feedback meeting, your salary will be reviewed at least once a year.
