Job description

Our mission: to make international freight simpler and more sustainable through technology!

Founded in 2017, OVRSEA is a next-generation freight forwarder that uses technology to simplify and optimize international transport for businesses. We support 700+ companies across 60 countries in their international freight shipments.

In January 2026, OVRSEA merged with the Fatton Lyseo group. This large-scale operation comes amid profound geopolitical, commercial, and technological shifts. Our ambition is clear: to build, through organic and external growth, a unified, agile, and sustainable French leader in logistics, capable of addressing new challenges in logistics control, operational performance, and technological disruption.

This merger brings together, under a single group, cutting-edge tech expertise, well-established historical know-how, and a dense network of locations across strategic geographies - with over 1,000 employees, 61 offices in 14 countries, and 120,000 m² of warehouse space - serving demanding clients in the luxury, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and food industries. Joining our teams means taking part in building an independent, high-performing, and innovative group.

We are continuing our growth in 2026 and hiring people internationally!

Are you ready to join us and be a part of this exciting adventure?

The Operations Team

The Operations (Ops) Team is responsible for organizing and coordinating the international transportation needs of our clients. Serving as the primary point of contact, the Ops team acts as a bridge between our customers and our carefully chosen service providers. The team plays a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional customer experience at OVRSEA. Reactivity, excellence, pedagogy, and customer awareness are the guiding principles that drive our team.

This position is based in our newest office in Brest. You will be the1st Operation Manager locally and will work closely with the Sales team located there.

Your missions as an Operations Manager at OVRSEA

As an Operations Manager, you will be the primary coordinator of international transport, managing our service providers, including agents, shipping and trucking carriers, and customs brokers. You will keep clients informed about their shipment progress, update them on key stages, guide them through challenges, and provide the best possible solutions when necessary. Committed to delivering high-quality service, prompt responsiveness, and reliability, you will drive OVRSEA's growth with the following responsibilities:

Global transport operations for large imports or exports (40%)

  • Manage a portfolio of customers.
  • Coordinate and organize air, sea, road, and rail transport.
  • Advise customers and proactively resolve issues.

Operational planning and pricing of international transport (40%)

  • Response to customer requests for quotations: complete planning of international transport by sea, air and rail.
  • Participation in the improvement loop between quotation, operations and invoicing: be able to step back and improve upstream to make operations run more smoothly and invoicing easier.

Manage customer invoicing (10%)

  • Participation in the invoicing of transport files.
  • Manage the contact with customers to explain the differences that may appear between the quotation and the billing.

Development and structuring (10%)

  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiations (carriers & agents worldwide).
  • Develop the team’s knowledge (research and production of articles).
  • Refine operational strategies.
What will this job bring you?
  • Relational skills: you will interact with people from more than 70+ countries (customers, service providers), from various industries and company sizes.
  • We value a strong learning environment at OVRSEA. Continuous learning is very important to us, which will allow you to solve rather complicated problems.
  • We have a team with different backgrounds: some experienced in the world of transport and others who have never done it before. This balance guarantees a dynamic and close-knit atmosphere in the face of an intense day-to-day.
We're meant to work together if
  • You can speak and write French fluently
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills, enjoy human contact, and want to bring real added value to your clients.
  • You know how to manage your stress : the days in Ops are exciting but intense. A lot of subjects are to be managed at the same time within defined deadlines
  • You demonstrate organizational skills and rigor in monitoring your accounts
  • You think solutions rather than problems, and you are able to take initiatives
  • You are highly motivated to discover the world of transportation and the modalities of air, sea and rail freight, even if this sector is still unknown to you
Why join OVRSEA?
  • Take part in an incredible human adventure and in the revolution of international freight, a complex and fascinating industry at the heart of global economic and geopolitical challenges.
  • Join a close-knit team with a genuine drive to learn and grow together.
  • Work with autonomy and a high degree of responsibility, with a direct individual impact on the company's growth.
  • Benefit from a personalized onboarding program and a clear career path.
  • Receive a competitive package along with various benefits. In France, you'll enjoy a Swile card with 55% covered by OVRSEA, an Alan health insurance plan 80% covered by OVRSEA, a holiday bonus, and a flexible remote work policy.
  • Take part in great team rituals, including our weekly cultural presentations (the famous OVRSEA "PICs"), peer learning sessions, team outings, and plenty of other events throughout the year!
