Job summary

Alignerr is seeking an experienced Network & Infrastructure Security Analyst (AI Training) for a remote, hourly contract. You will analyze real-world network and endpoint security scenarios, review security cases for root causes, and classify incidents to improve AI-driven security evaluation datasets.

You will also craft clear explanations of security issues and business impact. Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in security roles, familiarity with firewalls, EDR, IAM, SIEMs, and cloud security

Your real-world expertise in network defense, endpoint security, and incident analysis will directly shape how AI systems understand, reason about, and respond to modern security threats. This is a rare opportunity to sit at the intersection of hands-on security work and frontier AI development.

What You'll Do

• Analyze real-world network, endpoint, and email security scenarios across modern enterprise environments
• Review firewall, EDR, and infrastructure security cases to determine root causes and failure modes
• Classify incidents, misconfigurations, and control failures based on realistic operational data
• Create, label, and validate security training and evaluation datasets used to improve AI systems
• Provide clear, structured explanations of security issues, attack chains, and business impact

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in network, infrastructure, or endpoint security roles
• Solid familiarity with firewalls, EDR platforms, email security, IAM, SIEMs, and enterprise security tooling
• Deep understanding of how real organizations deploy and operate security controls at scale
• Able to clearly communicate technical findings — root causes, impact, and remediation — in plain language
• Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on task-based assignments

Nice to Have

• Experience with threat hunting, incident response, or red/blue team operations
• Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or CIS Controls
• Background in cloud infrastructure security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Prior experience with AI evaluation or data labeling workflows
