Alignerr is seeking a Computer Engineering — AI Data Trainer to join a remote, hourly-contract team. You will apply hardware design, architecture, and embedded systems expertise to shape how next-generation AI thinks and reasons.

You will collaborate with world-class labs to craft robust evaluation tasks, write reference solutions, and audit AI outputs across C/C++, Verilog, and VHDL, while maintaining high standards of technical accuracy.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a Master’s or PhD in Computer Engineering or CS (hardware).
• Strong foundation in Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Digital Logic Design, or OS.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex hardware concepts in writing.
• Precise and detail-oriented, comfortable with bit-level timing and documentation.

Responsabilités

• Design engineering problems across RISC-V/ARM, FPGA, memory management, and co-design.
• Author ground-truth solutions with step-by-step write-ups, assembly code, HDL snippets, and diagrams.
• Audit AI outputs by evaluating C/C++, Verilog, VHDL, and kernel code for correctness and standards.
• Identify and document reasoning failures and provide structured feedback to improve model reasoning.
• Stress-test AI models on architecture, embedded systems, networking, distributed systems, hardware security, and OS topics.

What You'll Do

• Design challenging engineering problems across domains like RISC-V/ARM architecture, FPGA development, memory management, and hardware-software co-design
• Author ground-truth solutions including step-by-step technical write-ups, assembly code, HDL snippets, and architectural diagrams that serve as reference answers for AI training
• Audit AI-generated outputs — evaluate code in C/C++, Verilog, and VHDL, as well as logic gate designs and OS kernel implementations, for correctness, efficiency, and industry standards compliance
• Identify and document reasoning failures such as race conditions, memory leaks, and improper timing constraints, and provide structured feedback to improve model reasoning
• Stress-test AI models on advanced topics including computer architecture, embedded systems, networking, distributed systems, hardware security, and operating systems

Who You Are

• Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science (hardware focus), or a closely related field
• Strong foundational knowledge in one or more of: Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Digital Logic Design, or Operating Systems
• Able to communicate complex hardware concepts and low-level software logic clearly in written form
• Precise and detail-oriented — comfortable working at the level of bit operations, clock-cycle timing, and technical documentation
• No prior AI or data annotation experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or AI evaluation workflows
• Proficiency with engineering tools such as MATLAB, ANSYS, or hardware simulation environments
• Familiarity with formal verification methods or hardware security concepts
