Alice & Bob is developing the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer. The role sits in the Process Development Engineering Team, starting in March 2027 for six months, to extend coherence time by reducing material-related losses and optimizing cleaning steps in the fabrication flow.

You will fabricate and characterize superconducting circuits in a cleanroom, learn advanced fabrication and measurement techniques, and continuously improve processes to reach state-of-the-art performance.

Qualifications

• Master degree in Nanotechnology, applied physics.
• Some knowledge of nanofabrication.
• Proficiency in English.
• The curiosity and rigor to keep improving a process, one experiment at a time.
• Availability for a 6-month internship starting in March 2027

Responsibilities

• Review the state of the art in superconducting circuit fabrication techniques.
• Fabricate superconducting circuits in a cleanroom environment (cleaning, lithography, etching, etc.)
• Characterize fabricated devices (SEM, EDX, AFM, basic room-temperature measurements, etc.)
• Continuously improve fabrication and characterization techniques
