Air Liquide France Industrie is seeking a Project Technical Referent with strong electricity and instrumentation experience to support engineering at various project stages. You will collaborate across disciplines, validate critical equipment, and drive technical standards.
Advanced English and at least 5 years in primary production settings are essential. The role involves travel within SWE cluster and extensive technical coordination.

We define optimal solutions and estimates while overseeing technical documentation and discipline coordination throughout the project. They provide on-site support during installation and commissioning, acting as a Design Authority for critical equipment validation. Furthermore, they conduct technical audits of installations and suppliers to ensure high-quality standards. They play a key role in client presentations, defending the technical-economic value of complex proposals. Finally, they drive innovation by developing new standards aligned with the strategic roadmap.
During the Development Phase Under the supervision/coordination of an Offer Specialist or a Project Manager, Ensures the analysis and studies of customer needs as required Review or develop technical solutions related to the systems and apparatus of their own discipline (Electricity & Instrumentation) in compliance with company standards and project technical specifications Participate to cost budget estimation, development of request for quotation and check technical offers, lead technical discussions with technology provider and/or systems and equipment suppliers support risk assessment, clarify scope and provide technical input to ensure a safe, reliable and performant solution.
During the Execution Phase Under the supervision/coordination of a Project Engineer if assigned to the project, otherwise MPT Project Manager provide support for or review the basic design and detailed design related to their own discipline, in compliance with company’s rules and project specifications support the procurement by identifying, pre-selecting and qualifying the suppliers of systems and equipment of their own discipline, as well as subcontractors for engineering and subcontractors for installation when following the project as a specialist, develop the project deliverables and the Material Requisitions with all related attachments (data-sheets, specifications, ITP, vendor document requirements, ecc.) carry out the technical alignment of the vendors offers developing the Technical Tabulation and the Technical Bid Evaluation for their discipline provide support to the buyer during purchase order definition phase after purchase order placement, carry out vendor follow-up (documentation check) according to the needs and availability, they may be called to quality control activity including inspections on major equipment.and approval, inspections, tests, etc.) keeping the necessary technical contacts with the involved vendors during the erection phase supports the supervisors at site for all engineering issues related to their own discipline arising from construction activities when department workload requires involving external specialists (either as services providers or as engineering companies), the internal Technical Engineers/Experts will ensure the supervision and coordination of such external engineers: develops the Material Requisition for the subcontracting of Engineering activities related to their own discipline to external companies or professionals manages external companies or professionals to ensure the development of their own discipline design activities, within the times and costs foreseen by the project, guaranteeing engineering quality in compliance with project and contractual contents, company standards/procedures, and in general all the tasks described above.
Other activities acquire project and contractual contents related to the systems and equipment of their own discipline (Electricity and Instrumentation), and the applicable technical attachments, highlighting any inconsistencies where present determine and select the systems and equipment of its own discipline in compliance with technological, technical, contractual, economic requirements and company standards support Project Control in the preparation of the project schedule for the systems and equipment of their own discipline and update the activity progress, ensuring compliance with project schedule and the budgeted engineering man-hours interact properly with the other Company’s technical disciplines/services to ensure an appropriate flow of information necessary for a correct engineering development When applicable: Provides technical assistance to our internal customers (sales, engineering or maintenance teams, etc.), including (but not limited to) a Hotline for urgent matters. Contributes to the evolution of tools (e.g. calculation and sizing tools) and engineering rules when adequate. Contributes to the evolution and development of new standards in accordance to the needs defined (roadmap). Participating in the development of training sessions (customer needs understanding / successful installation, intervention on toxic gasses, etc.) and tutorial training for new project managers on the internal organization of engineering and on sizing and costing tools.
