Current AI is seeking a hands-on Head of Impact Communications to build and lead a lean, high-impact team. You will shape the movement’s narrative, establish a distinctive brand voice and drive external credibility through strategic partnerships and media engagement.

You will work closely with the VP of Movement and CEO to translate complex ideas into compelling public-facing stories, while rolling up your sleeves to deliver day-to-day communications. This role reports into the VP of Movement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in communications, brand or storytelling roles in mission-driven, technology or international organisations.
• Proven ability to develop and execute strategies that shift narratives, build movements, or grow organisations’ public profiles.
• Strong media relations skills and a network across technology, policy and international affairs.
• Exceptional English writing across formats with ability to adapt voice for different audiences.
• Experience managing an external communications agency.
• Experience building or overseeing brand identity including visual identity and tone.
• Comfort operating in complex, multi-stakeholder environments with governments, foundations, technologists and media.
• Collaborative, cross-functional working style with programme, policy and partnerships teams.

Responsabilités

• Shape and lead Current AI’s communications function, establishing the organisation’s voice, brand identity and narrative strategy.
• Partner with senior leaders to translate complex ideas into public-facing stories and translate strategy into day-to-day content.
• Build and manage the communications function, including hiring, vendor partnerships and editorial infrastructure.
• Lead major communications moments: launches, research releases, summit announcements and crises.
• Develop thought leadership and owned content strategy, including op-eds and reports.
