Job summary

SBM Offshore N.V. is seeking an experienced Mooring Master to oversee berthing, mooring and offload operations on an FPSO/FSO environment. You will ensure safety and regulatory compliance, coordinate with vessel masters and cargo teams, and lead critical marine activities.

The role requires at least five years sea service on VLCCs with Master endorsement, strong English (B2), and hands-on berthing experience at SPM berths. Offshore training and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years sea service on VLCCs with at least 3 years as Master.
• Berthing experience as Mooring Master at open sea SPM berths.
• Port Pilot with SPM berths experience.
• 18 months sea service as Assisting Mooring Master with SBM berthing.
• STCW Master Unlimited with Oil Tanker Endorsement.
• English proficiency at CEFR B2 level.

Responsibilities

• Implement Safety Management System and follow Company policies.
• Carry out berthing and mooring activities per procedures.
• Ensure timely close-out of survey actions.
• Assist OIM with surveys and administrative planning.
• Lead berthing operations with effective delegation and communication.
• Coordinate with vessel masters and agents for expeditious operations.
• Promote training and competency in Cargo Department.
• Plan offloading activities and critical equipment maintenance.
• Manage emergencies and pollution control measures.
