Council of Europe in Strasbourg seeks an Advisor for the Division on Migration and Refugees to support secondment activities and inter-institutional engagement. You will liaise with multiple bodies, analyze developments, and draft reports and notes for briefing and decision-making.

The role requires 3+ years in human rights protection, strong English, and basic French, plus a valid secondment. Aiming to advance policy on migration and asylum.

Qualifications

• Support seconding member State to the Council of Europe.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in protection of human rights.
• Very good knowledge of English and basic knowledge of French or ability to learn on the job.
• Citizen of a Council of Europe member State.

Responsabilités

• Liaise with Council of Europe bodies involved in migration and asylum issues.
• Monitor and analyse policy and legal developments among member States and international bodies.
• Prepare documents for interaction with international partners and member States.
• Propose and prepare missions to member States and draft mission reports.
• Contribute expertise to migration and asylum work within the Council of Europe and other bodies.
• Coordinate the Network of National Focal Points on Migration.
