Council of Europe in Strasbourg seeks an Advisor for the Division on Migration and Refugees to support secondment activities and inter-institutional engagement. You will liaise with multiple bodies, analyze developments, and draft reports and notes for briefing and decision-making.
The role requires 3+ years in human rights protection, strong English, and basic French, plus a valid secondment. Aiming to advance policy on migration and asylum.
The Division on Migration and Refugees (DMR) provides assistance and support to member states, particularly through country missions, publications and conferences, and the Network of Focal Points on Migration . It seeks, collects and analyses information on the human rights situation of migrants and refugees, complements and co-ordinates activities of other relevant Council of Europe bodies and action with other international partners, including NHRIs and civil society organisations. The DMR also represents the Council of Europe in the UNHCR Nansen Refugee Award Selection Committee, as well as in the Consultative Forums of Frontex and of EUAA .
