Job summary

Amazon Data Services France SAS is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to lead the design of solid-state transformer stages for data centre power delivery. You will select HV SiC devices, optimize converters, and mentor a team of engineers while guiding technology decisions and design reviews.

The role spans bench prototyping to megawatt deployment, with responsibilities across simulations, device characterization, and system interfaces.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in electrical engineering required or preferred.
• 10+ years of power-electronics experience with DAB/CLLC/SRC and HV-SiC designs.
• Strong understanding of high-power converter topologies and reliability considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture decisions for DAB, CLLC, and series-resonant stages for megawatt-scale deployments.
• Select and qualify HV SiC devices, evaluate losses, body-diode behavior, and thermal derating.
• Coordinate interfaces with MV front end, 800 VDC output, controls, magnetics and cooling subsystems.
• Drive risk reduction through simulation, prototyping, and measurement correlation; lead design reviews.
• Mentor engineers, contribute to patents and technology roadmaps.
