Job summary

VAir SAS develops a handheld breath analyser for rapid viral detection, to be used in GP offices or emergencies. The role centers on turning biosensor and electronics blocks into a working device, partnering with the CTO to resolve integration challenges.

You will define system architecture, design electronics and contribute to mechanical design for daily clinical use, combining hands-on work with collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or higher in electronics, embedded systems or biomedical engineering.
• 5+ years in electronic product design, ideally in medtech/diagnostics.
• Strong analogue and digital electronics skills (schematic capture, PCB layout, sensors).
• CAD in SolidWorks/Fusion 360; tolerancing and prototyping.
• Hands-on mindset, autonomous, able to own topics end to end.

Responsibilities

• Define the device and cartridge system architecture with the team and integrate modules.
• Design and evolve electronics: schematics, PCBs, components, power, sensor signal acquisition.
• Contribute to industrial design and ergonomics for daily clinical use.
• Prototype (3D printing, machining, development boards), test and iterate.
• Support supplier and subcontractor selection and follow-up.
• Contribute to CE marking documentation (design control, risk analysis).
