Job summary

CT19 is seeking a founding Mechanical Engineer in Paris to own the blood-collection device and its disposable components. You will design, prototype, and test a complex medical device from concept through to robust, manufacturable solutions.

You will tackle tolerances, materials, sealing, actuation, and fluid handling, and work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to move designs into production while taking ownership of technical outcomes in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical engineer to own the blood-collection device and its disposables.
• Experience with complex physical systems and multidisciplinary engineering problems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanisms and components from first principles.
• Build and test prototypes for a medical device.
• Address tolerances, materials, sealing, actuation, and fluid handling challenges.
• Design test rigs and characterize system performance.
• Investigate failures and translate findings into design improvements.
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners.
• Advance designs from rough prototypes to a manufacturable medical product.
• Take ownership of technical outcomes and challenge assumptions.
