Harmattan AI in Paris is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to design and develop hardware and software powering automated testing and inspection platforms. You will contribute to mechanical development for test automation while collaborating on software and electrical integration, within the R&D department.

You will build robust fixtures, integrate sensors and instruments, and partner with product, manufacturing, and deployment teams to deliver scalable automation for both factory and field

Qualifications

• MSc in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
• Excellent CAD skills with SolidWorks, Catia or similar.
• Experience with external vendors and machine shops for part fabrication and test equipment selection.
• Comfortable soldering, wiring and small-scale electrical circuit work for test system integration.
• Experience with PCBAs; familiarity with pogo-pin fixtures is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of RF housing design and specifications is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to design practical, robust engineering solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilités

• Test Fixture Development – design, prototype, and maintain mechanical fixtures, jigs, and tooling.
• Mechanical Integration – design the integration of sensors, actuators, cameras into test stations with the control and software layer.
• ATE Integration – specify and integrate custom solutions from external vendors for testing equipment/instrumentation.
• Cross-Team Collaboration – work with product development, manufacturing, and Deployment teams to deliver scalable automation solutions.
