Astemo Angers is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to lead design and development of automotive disc brake components from concept to serial production. You will drive DFMEA, define detail specifications, and steer manufacturing robustness while collaborating with international suppliers.

The role requires 5–10 years in mechanical design within automotive or high-volume industries, strong analytical skills, and fluency in English. Onsite in Angers with a comprehensive benefits package.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years in design and development of mechanical components in automotive/high-volume industrial sectors.
• Solid understanding of structural mechanics, fatigue, tribology, wear mechanisms and material behavior.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (casting, forging, machining, stamping, heat treatment, coating, assembly, surface finishing).
• Good tolerance analysis and robustness engineering understanding for reliability-driven development.
• Experience with international suppliers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent in English.

Mansioni

• Lead the design and development of automotive disc brake components from concept through serial production.
• Lead design reviews and DFMEA activities; establish specifications and drive DfM/DfA/DfR initiatives.
• Collaborate with suppliers to develop and optimize components and support sourcing through technical reviews and cost optimization.
• Support prototype builds, pilot production and industrialization by resolving design/manufacturing issues.
• Define and support validation plans, investigate test failures and field issues; perform root-cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards, customer requirements, reliability targets and regulations.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, reports, design records, validation reports and change management.
