Harmattan AI seeks a Mechanical Engineer to own the mechanical design of next-generation Ground Control Systems hardware from concept through mass production. You’ll work on premium drone controllers, antenna systems, and launcher enclosures, bridging mechanical design with RF integration and electronics packaging.

You will collaborate with Electronics and RF teams, apply DFM/DFA principles, and drive robust, field-ready products for defense applications in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required with product development exposure from concept to mass production.
• Experience designing mechanical enclosures for harsh field environments and IP-rated hardware.
• Proven ability to work with plastics injection molding, thermoforming, sheet metal, CNC, and die-casting.
• Experience integrating embedded electronics into complex enclosures and performing rapid prototyping.
• Familiarity with basic FEA/stress, deformation and thermal simulations is a plus.

Responsabilités

• End-to-End design of drone controllers, antennas, and launcher enclosures, including structural, thermal, and ergonomic considerations.
• Own product development cycles from concept to mass production and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Create 3D models in SolidWorks and produce 2D drawings with GD&T for manufacturing and inspection.
• Apply DFM/DFA to minimise cost and lead times, collaborating with suppliers and fabrication partners.
• Run simulations (FEA/CFD) early to validate designs and reduce physical prototyping.
• Test, validate, and document designs for extreme field conditions and reliability.
