Harmattan AI is seeking a senior hardware engineer to design and ship complex RF/mixed-signal PCBs for rugged defense systems. You will own schematics, layouts, bring-up, and collaboration with software and mechanical teams to ensure robust, manufacturable hardware.

The role requires autonomous work in a small team and a focus on cost and reliability. You will work on PCB architecture, RF impedance matching, EMC considerations, and the full production handoff including BOM management and DFM/DFA

Qualifications

• Senior hardware engineer with proven PCB design and production experience.
• Strong schematics, layout, and bring-up discipline with cost awareness.
• Ability to bridge hardware and firmware in a small autonomous team.

Responsabilités

• Design complete schematics for mixed-signal and RF boards from power to digital and RF sections.
• Lead board placement and routing with focus on signal integrity and RF constraints.
• Select components with cost and supply in mind, optimise BOM for mass production.
• Lead hardware bring-up and debug using bench equipment and write bring-up scripts as needed.
• Address EMC/ RF challenges and ensure RF performance and impedance matching.
• Collaborate with Embedded SW to define hardware/interfaces and support firmware bring-up.
• Coordinate with Mechanical for PCB integration into enclosures and thermal management.
• Qualify PCB manufacturers and assembly houses and support NPI transitions.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of schematics, layouts, and test procedures.
