Job summary

Sorontar is seeking engineers to join a lean, flat team focused on automated production. You will design and deploy production lines, selecting machines, materials and subcontractors, and run pilot lines to bring processes into production.

You will improve quality and cycle times as the line runs, and as the company grows you will help build the manufacturing team. Fluency in French and English is required for daily collaboration.

Qualifications

Sorontar is a team of engineers and scientists working to rearm France and its allies. What you'll get to do

At Sorontar, design and production are in the same department. We want a highly automated production, so automation has to be planned when the parts are designed. You will therefore work with the design team from the first drawings. You will build our production setup: the machines, the choice of materials and subcontractors, and the pilot line. Once the line is running, you will improve quality and cycle times. As the company grows, you will help build the manufacturing team.

Your profile

You have worked on automation, additive manufacturing or composites in an industrial setting. You know how to use simple prototypes to de-risk ambitious production goals. You work in French and English.

What will set you apart

Experience integrating an air intake with its propulsion system will set you apart. Experience with wind tunnel or flight test data is also a strong plus, as is the ability to automate your work in Python. Experience in defense counts too.

Experience automating a conventional production line is a real plus. Extensive work in additive manufacturing, composites or robotics is also valuable. Experience in aerospace and defense counts too. Important information

Remote policy: Our work relies on close collaboration and on our ability to adapt quickly, so we have a no-remote work policy. Contract: We only offer full-time permanent contracts (CDI). Security and access: Work at Sorontar falls into three categories. Research takes place in restricted-access zones (ZRR) and requires an access authorization. Applied technology builds on known and publicly available technologies and carries no specific access restriction.
