Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle day-to-day maintenance and repair of processing equipment, utilities, and the building. This full-time role is located at our Paris, KY office, with day shift training for the first 90 days.

The candidate should have a High School diploma or equivalent, with 3 years of applicable direct experience in a similar position. HVAC knowledge and experience with industrial electricity, pumps, piping, and conveyors are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/associate preferred.
• At least 3 years of maintenance experience in a similar role.
• HVAC knowledge required; knowledge of industrial electricity & electronics preferred.
• Familiar with pumps, piping, conveyors & related systems.
• Able to use specialized tools (welding, torching, bending, threading).

Responsibilities

• Maintains the building electrical system and heating/cooling equipment.
• Maintains doors, floors, docks, overhead doors, roof downspouts, product racks, materials handling equipment, and in-process equipment.
• Completes required reports after maintenance tasks.
• Answers security alarm calls as needed.
• Performs as part of a team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Associate's or technical school preferred.

Experience: 3 years of applicable direct experience in a similar position.

Additional Qualifications:

• - Skills in mathematics, personal computers, and related applications are vital.
• - Interpersonal and communication skills are important.
• - Knowledge of HVAC systems is required.
