Job summary

Bridgestone Americas Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Tech 1 for the Wilson, NC facility. The Tech provides maintenance support to the operations departments in a highly automated environment, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment as part of a multi-craft role.

The ideal candidate has a 2-year technical degree (or equivalent), with experience in mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and PLCs, and a willingness to grow skills. Pay rate is $30.64/hour, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Enrolled in a 2-year technical degree in electronics, robotics, general technology or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as maintenance technician in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Veteran with at least 6 years of active duty service in a highly technical field.
• Must pass an entrance test taken on a computer.

Responsibilities

• Preventative Maintenance (continuous improvement).
• Perform Maintenance and troubleshoot Mechanical and Electrical Industrial equipment.
• Perform Quick Repair for Trouble Calls from Operating Technicians.
• Troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
