Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an experienced Project Planner to support data centre operations in the Paris region. The role focuses on planning preventive maintenance, coordinating with Facilities, Engineering and Operations, and ensuring maintenance activities are scheduled, resourced and executed smoothly.

Candidates should bring 10+ years in maintenance or project planning in complex settings, plus fluent French and professional English. This is an on-site role in Paris with a 1–2 year contract.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, operations or project planning in a complex environment.
• Experience coordinating schedules with multiple vendors and stakeholders.
• Experience with planned/preventive maintenance and resource forecasting.
• Fluent French and professional English communication.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain forward maintenance schedules covering quarterly, six-monthly, annual and other recurring activities.
• Coordinate planned maintenance windows with Facilities, Engineering and Operations teams.
• Track planned, completed, delayed and outstanding maintenance activities through to closure.
• Identify upcoming resource, vendor, contract or scheduling gaps and escalate risks.
• Coordinate with Procurement on contractor onboarding, contract readiness and renewals.
• Produce regular status, risk and KPI reporting and drive outstanding actions to completion.

We are looking for experienced Project Planners to support operations and maintenance activities across live, mission‑critical Data Centre environments in the Paris region. The role will focus on planning and coordinating preventive maintenance, managing vendors and contractors, and ensuring upcoming maintenance activities are properly scheduled, resourced and supported.

This is an operations and maintenance planning role rather than a construction or engineering position, so a specialist Electrical or Mechanical qualification is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and maintain forward maintenance schedules covering quarterly, six-monthly, annual and other recurring activities.
• Coordinate planned maintenance windows with Facilities, Engineering and Operations teams.
• Track planned, completed, delayed and outstanding maintenance activities through to closure.
• Identify upcoming resource, vendor, contract or scheduling gaps and proactively escalate risks.
• Coordinate with Procurement on contractor onboarding, contract readiness and renewals.
• Produce regular status, risk and KPI reporting and drive outstanding actions to completion.

Key Requirements

• Strong experience (10+ years) within maintenance, facilities, operations or project planning in a complex operational environment.
• Proven experience managing schedules involving multiple vendors, contractors and stakeholders.
• Experience with planned/preventive maintenance and identifying future resource or scheduling gaps.
• Strong vendor, contractor and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Fluent French and professional English.
• Data Centre or other 24/7 critical facility experience such as utilities, telecoms, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors or hospitals is highly desirable.
• Experience with Asana, CMMS, MS Project, Primavera P6 or similar planning tools would be advantageous.
