Job summary

Optimus Search Limited is seeking a Senior Project Planner to support a hyperscale data centre project in the Paris region. The role focuses on managing the MEP construction programme, coordinating subcontractor schedules, and ensuring alignment with commissioning milestones.

The candidate will develop detailed schedules in Primavera P6, integrate schedules with CSA progress, and lead weekly meetings to report progress to project management.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience in project planning or scheduling.
• Advanced Primavera P6 proficiency.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical construction sequencing.
• Experience integrating construction and commissioning programmes.
• Ability to challenge subcontractor schedules and manage programme interfaces.
• English required; French advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a detailed Level 3 / Level 4 MEP construction schedule using Primavera P6.
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical subcontractor programmes, including HVAC, chilled water, LV/MV electrical distribution, UPS and generator installations.
• Integrate MEP installation schedules with CSA construction progress and area handovers.
• Monitor installation progress against baseline programmes and identify critical path activities.
• Produce weekly two-week and six-week lookahead schedules.
• Identify programme delays, assess schedule impacts and develop recovery strategies.
• Coordinate construction completion milestones with pre-commissioning, Level 1-5 commissioning and integrated systems testing.
• Attend weekly contractor coordination meetings and report progress to project management.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Planner to support the delivery of a hyperscale data centre project in the Paris region.

The project involves complex mechanical and electrical installations, including critical power distribution, cooling infrastructure and the integration of commissioning activities.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing the MEP construction programme, coordinating subcontractor schedules and ensuring the project remains aligned with key construction and commissioning milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a detailed Level 3 / Level 4 MEP construction schedule using Primavera P6.
• Coordinate mechanical and electrical subcontractor programmes, including HVAC, chilled water, LV/MV electrical distribution, UPS and generator installations.
• Integrate MEP installation schedules with CSA construction progress and area handovers.
