Marktlink is seeking an M&A Senior Associate for its new Lyon office. You will take on end-to-end deal workstreams, originate opportunities, and manage client relationships with buyers and sellers.

You’ll oversee analyses, valuations, and bid books while expanding Marktlink’s network across Europe. The role requires M&A experience (3+ years), fluent French, and professional English, plus an entrepreneurial mindset.

Your goal

For our office in Lyon we are looking for an M&A Senior Associate. Are you ready for the next step as M&A dealmaker in the small and lower-mid-market? You already have a few years of experience as an M&A professional and the ambition to become an independent dealmaker within the next three to five years. This entrepreneurial drive is part of Marktlink's DNA. You will join as one of the first hires of Marktlink's new France office, with the opportunity to help build it from day one.At Marktlink you will be doing business independently from day one. You will be responsible for a significant part of the transaction process from start to finish. You have sufficient financial skills, but also a commercial mindset and a genuine interest in entrepreneurs: the clients of Marktlink.

Please note that due to holidays we will come back to you in the first week of August.

Your responsibilities

At Marktlink, no day is the same. As an M&A Senior Associate you can broadly expect the following:

• Leading deal workstreams end-to-end, from origination to closing;

• Originating new opportunities and building lasting client relationships with buyers and sellers;

• Overseeing company and market analysis, valuations and bid books produced by the team;

• Expanding and maintaining the Marktlink network in France and across Europe;

• Structuring financing applications and resolving financing issues;

• Managing and coaching Analysts on live projects.

Your profile

You are sharp, accurate, result-oriented, think on your feet and like to get things done. Furthermore, we expect you to deliver the following experience and competencies:

• The dynamic world of mergers and acquisitions is familiar to you. You have a minimum of three years of work experience as M&A analyst, associate or consultant;

• Fluent in French and professional working proficiency in English;

• You are a social and entrepreneurial person who has practical and strategic insight as well as tactical and commercial insight;

• In addition to being analytically strong, a Marktlinker is punctual and target-driven;

• Demonstrable affinity with SME and entrepreneur-led companies is an advantage;

• An eye for personal relationships and excellent communication skills are a must.
