Job summary

CMA CGM Group in Marseille is offering an end-of-studies internship in Operational Data Analysis for optimal Boil-Off Gas management on LNG-fueled container ships. You will analyze LNG storage and gas evolution data, build statistical models, and propose optimization strategies to minimize BOG losses.

The role targets Bac+5 engineering students, with strong Thermodynamics, data analysis, and programming (Fortran, Python). Start Q1 2027; minimum 6 months; head office Marseille.

Qualifications

• Bac+5 level in engineering school or Master’s degree in thermal sciences, energetics or fluid mechanics.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
• Experience in data analysis and numerical simulation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Literature review on LNG behavior in storage tanks.
• Data collection and familiarization with operational databases.
• Fleet data analysis on pressure evolution and BOG generation.
• Propose optimization strategy to reduce BOG losses using a thermodynamic approach.
• Write a final report detailing results and recommendations.
