Job summary

CMA CGM invites an end-of-studies intern to join the CMA Ships Technical Department at the Marseille head office. You will analyze LNG boil-off behavior in onboard tanks, collect relevant fuel-system data, and develop a statistical model to optimize gas management during voyages, reducing losses and improving operations.

We seek Bac+5 engineers in thermal sciences or related fields, with strong thermodynamics, data analysis, and programming skills (Fortran, Python).

Qualifications

• Bac+5 level in thermal sciences, energetics, fluids or modeling.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
• Experience with data analysis and programming.

Responsibilities

• Literature review: study LNG behavior in storage tanks.
• Data collection & familiarization: access operational fuel-system data.
• Fleet data analysis: interpret pressure evolution and BOG.
• Optimization & savings estimate: propose strategy to reduce BOG losses.
• Results & final report: analyze results and write the final report.
