Jobtailor is seeking a detail-oriented QA/Localization specialist to proofread and edit native-language content, ensuring high linguistic quality across interfaces and documentation. You will translate as needed, report defects, and uphold style guides and glossaries.

Candidates should have strong English skills, Bachelor's degree, and experience with MS Office and bug-tracking tools. Onsite work with potential client-location assignments is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Native-level or fully bilingual fluency in required language(s).
• Up-to-date awareness of current technical language usage in the target language.
• Strong English skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with MS applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to navigate networks and websites with different browsers.
• Basic knowledge of PC-hardware (desktop and laptop).
• Basic knowledge of smart phones (iPhone or Android).
• Ability to work onsite and/or at client location.
• Must be able to be in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to use a computer mouse for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to keyboard for extended periods of time.

Responsabilités

• Proofread and edit content localized to the native language.
• Identify grammar, typo, syntax, punctuation, capitalization, political incorrectness, inconsistency, and spacing errors.
• Translate content from English to the native language when needed.
• Check user interfaces for functional issues.
• Write and report bugs and errors through the internal database system.
• Prioritize tasks and issues quickly and efficiently.
• QA products by accurately following testing instructions and test cases.
• Discover and report defects using client-specific bug tracking tools.
• Evaluate translations in software, mobile apps, and documentation contexts.
• Act as a subject matter expert for linguistic issues in the target language.
• Research and resolve linguistic questions.
• Adhere to project-specific quality standards, trademarks, style guides, checklists, and glossaries.
• Troubleshoot basic problems and escalate testing issues.
• Complete assigned tasks in a quality and timely manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a college or university in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience


• Native-level or fully bilingual fluency (both spoken and written language) in required language(s)
