Job summary

Biffa Waste Services is seeking an LGV 2 Driver for PM shifts, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work. Start times 13:30 to 23:00, offering £16.87 per hour plus back shift allowance and daily bonus.

You will operate LGV vehicles to collect and empty bins from trade waste customers, performing daily vehicle checks and ensuring road safety, with on-the-job training and valuable benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.
• Ability to safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Good awareness of health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles including front and back loaders to collect and empty bins from trade waste customers.
• Work outdoors, take initiative and contribute to environmental and community outcomes.

Job description

LGV 2 Driver - PM Shifts (Trade Waste Driver)

Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday/Sunday work.

Start / Finish Times: 13:30 to 23.00

£16.87p/h + Back Shift Allowance and daily bonus.

Working as part of a single person crew, you will drive various modes of LGV vehicles including front and back loaders, collecting and emptying bins, from our trade waste customers.
