Pernod Ricard is seeking a Legal Intern - Africa & Middle East to join the AME team within the Legal Department, starting January 2027. You will support lawyers in daily tasks across markets in the region.

Ideal candidates are Master II level or trainee lawyers with solid training in business/international law, 6+ months of experience, and fluency in English. The role offers exposure to contracts, governance, compliance, and occasional trips to tribunals or notaries.

Qualifications

• Master II student or trainee lawyer.
• Solid legal training in business law/international business law; LLM/double degree appreciated.
• At least 6 months’ experience in legal departments or international law firms.
• Excellent level of written and spoken English; fluency in another language is a plus.
• Good writing skills and ability to work in a team; proactive, autonomous and rigorous.

Responsabilités

• Assist in negotiation, drafting and monitoring contracts within the Group and with third parties across the region.
• Follow-up and record contracts and amendments in Group databases.
• Assist with contract management: notices, termination, renewals.
• Help manage governance and corporate law topics for French and foreign subsidiaries.
• Assist in implementing internal Group policies (compliance, anti-corruption, competition law).
• Monitor pre-litigation and litigation in the region; conduct legal research.
• Carry out legal research related to business law.
• Occasional trips to tribunals, courts or notaries for apostille or legalization of documents.
