CoderPad seeks a Lead Software Engineer for its EMEA Engineering team in France. You will own full-stack features, combining hands-on coding with technical leadership to drive architecture decisions and reliable, scalable delivery.

You’ll use AI coding assistants to accelerate work and collaborate asynchronously with global teams. You’ll partner with Product and designers to scope, prioritise, and ship impactful features, with a focus on code quality, tests, and measurable impact for customers

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with senior or lead-level ownership.
• Proficiency in a backend language (Java, Ruby, Node.js) and a modern frontend framework (React).
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience designing scalable, reliable systems.
• Experience with code reviews and automated testing.
• Experience deploying, monitoring, and operating features in production (GitLab, AWS, Kubernetes).
• Ability to work autonomously in a distributed, remote-first environment.
• Proficiency in English for professional work.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop new full-stack features (React/TypeScript frontend, Java/Node.js/Ruby backend).
• Use AI coding assistants and agents to accelerate delivery and automate tasks.
• Contribute to architectural and technical design decisions.
• Write automated tests and enforce code quality through reviews.
• Deploy and monitor own features in production using GitLab, AWS, Kubernetes.
• Improve engineering practices and collaborate with Product and other teams.
