Job summary

Fuse Energy is seeking a Senior or Lead Security Engineer (Detection & Response) to design and operate next-gen detection systems across AWS, identity, endpoints, SaaS and data centers. You will own telemetry, detections, and incident response, leading investigations and automating security tasks with AI-enabled tooling.

The role emphasizes proactive threat hunting, building detection coverage, and collaborating with IT/Engineering to embed preventative controls into system design.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in detection engineering, incident response or threat hunting.
• Strong cloud security knowledge, esp. AWS and monitoring of cloud activity.
• Proven ability to lead investigations and drive response end-to-end.
• Scripting in Python and automation of repetitive security tasks.
• Experience with SIEM/EDR/SOAR tooling and detections.

Responsibilities

• Own security monitoring and detection across AWS, identities, endpoints, SaaS and networks.
• Build telemetry and logging pipelines for proactive threat detection.
• Lead investigations and incident response from detection to post-mortem.
• Proactively hunt threats and close visibility gaps.
• Develop automation and AI-assisted security workflows.
• Collaborate with IT/Engineering to convert findings into preventive controls.
