Job summary

Fuse is seeking a Senior or Lead Security Engineer (Detection & Response) to build next-generation detection systems across AWS, identities, endpoints, SaaS and data centers. You will own monitoring and detection end-to-end, anticipate compromises, ensure telemetry, and drive detection workflows and responses.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in detection/security engineering, incident response or threat hunting.
• Strong understanding of cloud environments (AWS preferred) and monitoring for unauthorized activity.
• Networking fundamentals and attacker movement understanding.
• Experience with security monitoring tools such as SIEM/EDR/SOAR.
• Scripting/programming skills (Python) and automation mindset.
• Experience investigating real security incidents and ownership through resolution.
• Familiar with security automation and AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own security monitoring and detection across AWS, identity, endpoints, SaaS, networks and data center environments.
• Build telemetry/logging pipelines to detect incidents and improve coverage.
• Lead security investigations and incident response from detection through containment and recovery.
• Proactively hunt for threats and close visibility gaps.
• Develop automation to improve detection, investigation and response using AI/LLMs where applicable.
• Collaborate with IT/Engineering to turn findings into preventive controls and better design.
• Develop and test incident response playbooks and enhance response capabilities.
• Implement AI agents and security bots to assist with monitoring and reporting.
