Job summary

SERVPRO of Canton and SERVPRO of Washtenaw County is seeking an experienced Reconstruction Project Manager to oversee residential and commercial reconstruction projects across Washtenaw and Western Wayne counties.

The role covers every phase from contract through invoicing and final payment, ensuring projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards. Strong communication and ownership of results are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential and commercial reconstruction or restoration.
• Experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor management.
• Ability to read and understand construction scopes, estimates, plans, and related documents.
• Strong communication, organization, leadership, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to hold subcontractors accountable while maintaining positive working relationships.
• Existing relationships with dependable subcontractors in Southeast Michigan preferred.
• Experience using construction or project management software.

Responsibilities

• Manage residential and commercial reconstruction projects from signed contract through final completion and payment.
• Review project scopes, estimates, budgets, schedules, and production plans.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, permits, inspections, material deliveries, and jobsite access.
• Build and maintain a dependable network of qualified subcontractors and vendors.
• Keep projects organized, properly scheduled, and moving according to plan.
• Monitor job costs, materials, subcontractor expenses, change orders, and profitability.
• Maintain professional communication with owners, adjusters, subcontractors, vendors, and team members.
• Conduct regular jobsite inspections for quality, safety, and compliance.
• Hold subcontractors accountable for scheduling, workmanship, and expectations.
• Identify delays, cost concerns, or issues and address them proactively.
• Manage additional work and change orders and secure approvals.
• Maintain project notes, photographs, approvals, and documentation.
• Complete final walkthroughs and ensure items are resolved before closeout.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction throughout the construction process.
• Ensure projects are documented and ready for invoicing and collection.
• Collaborate with mitigation and estimating teams for smooth transitions into reconstruction.
• Deliver profitable, high-quality projects with strong relationships.
