Orakl Oncology in Villejuif, Île-de-France, seeks a Research Lead - Predictive Oncology to build and lead a translational research programme for O‑Predict. You will own the long‑term scientific roadmap, guide questions, and collaborate with clinical and experimental teams to shape data generation and predictive methods.

You will mentor researchers, publish in translational oncology and ML fields, and shape evidence for clinical decision support while working closely with the CTO and product

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, MD, or MSc with an equivalent research record in a quantitative or biomedical discipline relevant to predictive oncology.
• Demonstrated ownership of a research programme: you have formulated a scientific agenda, prioritised competing questions and led projects from initial hypothesis to validated findings.
• Experience leading and mentoring scientific contributors, coordinating work across disciplines and reviewing methods and conclusions.
• A strong publication record in translational oncology, computational biology, biostatistics and/or ML for health.
• Hands‑on proficiency in Python and SQL: you can work with internal data, develop methods and produce reproducible analyses.
• Excellent scientific writing and oral communication in English, including manuscripts and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Own O-Predict's long-term research roadmap: define a 2‑year agenda and a prioritised 12‑month plan with milestones.
• Lead R&D execution: manage programmes from concept through validation and interpretation; stay hands‑on in analyses.
• Shape future data generation: design experiments and cohorts with collaborators to resolve uncertainties.
• Advance O-Predict's predictive capabilities: extend to new cohorts, indications and settings.
• Own the validation strategy: define endpoints and evaluation protocols with external partners.
• Connect research to product development: translate findings into documented scientific requirements for transfer to O-Predict.
• Lead publications and scientific materials: manage manuscripts, abstracts, posters and methods notes.
• Build collaborations: work with clinical investigators and quantitative researchers for independent validation.
