Job summary

Genesis is seeking a core maintainer for Genesis-World to build the engineering backbone of a high-performance robotics simulation platform. You will shape infrastructure, tooling, APIs, and architecture to keep a large codebase fast, reliable, and open-source.

You will partner with physics and compiler teams to improve autodiff, testing, reproducibility, and extensibility, enabling researchers to push the boundaries of physical AI in production-grade simulations.

Qualifications

• Strong Python engineering on large codebases, focusing on architecture, typing, and packaging.
• Experience with testing infrastructure, CI at scale, and performance profiling.
• Familiarity with JIT compilation, code generation, and GPU compute stacks.
• Open-source experience, issue triage, and external PR reviews.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Genesis-World backend, tooling, and APIs.
• Collaborate with physics and compiler teams to improve integration and performance.
• Improve testing, reproducibility, and debuggability of large simulation workloads.
• Refactor legacy subsystems, enforce typing, and optimize hot paths.
