Kestra Technologies is seeking a Lead Tech SRE to own Kestra Cloud end-to-end—from architecture to delivery, observability, and continuous improvement. You will lead a small team, stay hands-on with Terraform and Kubernetes, and drive platform enhancements across beta-to-GA milestones.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in SRE, platform, or infrastructure engineering, including 2+ years leading the technical direction of a team or platform.
• Deep production-grade Kubernetes expertise with fleets at scale.
• Strong Google Cloud experience: GKE, networking, managed data services.
• Expert Terraform skills: modular design and scalable state layouts.
• Proven ability to architect, spec, and dispatch work with design docs and trade-off analysis.
• Real on-call and incident management experience; postmortems and durable fixes.
• SaaS operations background with meaningful SLOs and customer impact.
• Fluent in English and able to work autonomously in a remote setup.

Responsabilités

• Own the target architecture of Kestra Cloud on GCP, including per-customer stacks and regions.
• Write specs, RFCs, and ADRs that translate product needs into infra work and defend trade-offs.
• Define SLOs and error budgets per service and tier, guiding prioritization.
• Break specs into work, dispatch across the team, and set the bar for Terraform modules and GitOps conventions.
• Automate the customer instance lifecycle: provisioning, upgrades, scaling, backups, migration, and decommissioning.
• Own the release path with ArgoCD and GitHub Actions: progressive rollouts, rollbacks, and upgrade safety.
• Build observability stack (metrics, logs, traces, alerting) to catch issues before customers report them.
• Run on-call and incident response rotations with blameless postmortems and follow-ups that ship.
• Plan capacity for bursty workloads and maintain honest autoscaling.
• Drive FinOps on GCP: per-customer cost visibility, right-sizing, committed use, and spot where it fits.
• Harden the platform with security in mind: network policies, workload identity, secrets, and audit trails for SOC 2.
• Provide feedback to product when cloud constraints affect usability; draft fixes with core engineering.
