Zusammenfassung

Kestra is hiring a Lead Tech SRE to own Kestra Cloud end to end, spanning architecture, delivery, monitoring, and continuous improvement. You will lead a small team, stay hands-on with Terraform and Kubernetes, and shape the platform’s technical direction in a fully remote environment.

You will collaborate with CTO, platform engineers, and security to ensure scalable, secure, and cost-efficient operations across dedicated customer stacks with GA planned for 2027.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years in SRE, platform, or infrastructure engineering, including at least 2 years leading the technical direction of a team or a platform.
• Deep Kubernetes expertise at scale, with upgrades, config drift, networking, and capacity sizing.
• Strong Google Cloud experience: GKE, IAM, networking, and managed data services.
• Expert Terraform: modular structures and scalable state for many customer environments.
• Proven ability to architect, spec, and dispatch work across a team.

Aufgaben

• Own the target architecture of Kestra Cloud on GCP: per-customer dedicated stack, templating, regions, and GA path.
• Write design docs, RFCs, and ADRs; defend trade-offs between cost, isolation, and managed vs self-run.
• Define SLOs and error budgets per service and tier; drive prioritization.
• Break specs into work packages; set the bar for Terraform modules, Helm charts, and GitOps conventions.
• Automate the full customer instance lifecycle: provisioning, upgrades, scaling, backups, migration, decommissioning.
• Own the release path with ArgoCD and GitHub Actions: progressive rollouts and safe upgrades across the fleet.
• Build observability: metrics, logs, traces, alerts; run on-call and blameless postmortems.
