GC Wind Services Pty Ltd in Australia seeks a Blade Access Platform Chief Operator to lead the safe, efficient operation of the BAP during blade inspection, repair, and maintenance. You will coordinate with clients and site management, ensuring compliance with procedures and equipment integrity.

You will supervise technicians on the platform, enforce safety standards, monitor weather and loads, and keep detailed logs and reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 3–5 years in wind turbine blade maintenance or BAP operations, with ≥2 years on platform operation.
• Strong safety culture with permit-to-work and working at height procedures.

Responsabilités

• Lead daily BAP operations including rigging, de-rigging, and platform movement.
• Serve as main client liaison, ensuring clear communication and reporting.
• Uphold safety standards, conduct toolbox talks, and manage permits-to-work.
• Monitor wind, weather, loads, and other environmental conditions.
• Maintain detailed logs, inspections, and equipment records.
• Manage materials, tools, and consumables for field operations.
• Supervise technicians on the platform and enforce safe work procedures.
