Vestas is seeking a blade maintenance technician to monitor blade maintenance processes and assess blade condition on-site. The role includes performing on-site repairs when required and ensuring adherence to safety and quality procedures throughout the repair and audit cycle.

Based in MED region, the technician will work within the Special tasks Operations team, collaborating with engineers and service personnel to deliver high standards of wind turbine maintenance and reliability.

Qualifications

• BTEC/HND or BTS/DUT in Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with BZEE certification if possible.
• Degree or first professional experience as composite material technician and/or wind turbine maintenance technician.
• Proficiency in technical English (written and spoken) and familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Region MED / SBU MED Service / Special tasks Operations

The special tasks operation department take care of blade repair and main components repair up tower.

Responsibilities

• Monitor activities related to Blade maintenance processes
• Inspect and assess the operational level of the assessed blades

Administrative work followed by hours, working conditions and operational reporting

• Act according to safety rules and quality procedures related to blade maintenance activities, from awareness to the audit process, to ensure service level agreements and compliance with regulatory procedures
• Know the blade repair processes, assess the complexity of the repair, carry out on-site repairs with technical expertise and internal maintenance procedures.

Qualifications

• BTEC Higher National Diploma, BTS/DUT industrial or Electrical / Mechanical Engineering certified by the BZEE certification if possible
• A degree or a first professional experience as composite material technician and / or wind turbines maintenance technician
• Knowledge of technical English (written/spoken) and familiar with the Office Pack.

Competencies

• Working with composite materials
• Wind turbines experience as Service or Construction technicians in Vestas or non-Vestas Turbines
• Working in confined spaces and at heights over 100 meters
• Technic English
• Comfort working remotely in a Turbine as part of a team with limited supervisory interaction
