Job summary

Odaseva, based in Paris, is hiring a senior backend developer to design and maintain scalable PHP/NodeJS backends, with Go/Python modules as needed. You will work with product managers, collaborate with the infrastructure team, and lead code quality efforts.

Hybrid work arrangement: 3 days in the Paris office and 2 days remote. A Master’s degree and 7+ years of backend experience are required, along with strong OO programming and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years backend development experience (PHP/Go/NodeJS/Java).
• Proven track record delivering complex projects and improving product performance.
• Deep expertise in non-framework development and OO programming.
• Experience using Claude AI across analysis, implementation, tests, and automation.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker); Salesforce a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain highly performant, scalable, secure PHP/NodeJS applications (Go/Python modules as well).
• Collaborate with Product Managers to gather requirements and define specs.
• Work with Infrastructure to optimize performance and ensure smooth deployment.
• Lead by example with clean, well-documented, testable code.
• Mentor junior developers and promote technical excellence.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain quality and best practices.
• Identify opportunities for system optimization and reduce technical debt.
• Stay current with PHP/NodeJS trends and adopt relevant advancements.
