Capital on Tap in Porto Matosinhos invites a Lead Automation Engineer to shape automated testing across payments, onboarding, and core services. You will collaborate with mission teams to raise quality from the start.

You’ll own automation, design tests (API, UI, mobile), drive shift-left, and use data to target high-risk areas while embedding automated tests into CI/CD for rapid, reliable delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in QA Automation/SDET roles within an Agile team.
• Proficiency in C# or JavaScript/TypeScript for automation.
• Experience testing complex fintech systems (card issuing, transactions, risk).
• Hands-on with UI and API automation tools (Playwright, Cypress; REST Assured).
• Familiar with cloud platforms (Azure), and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrated leadership to influence developers and POs toward automation.

Responsabilités

• Define and own the comprehensive automation strategy for your domain.
• Lead design, development and maintenance of automated tests (API, UI, Mobile).
• Champion Shift-Left with Product Owners and Developers from refinement to delivery.
• Manage automation targets and use MTTR/MTTD data to identify high-risk areas.
• Ensure automated tests are integrated into CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable deployments.
