Mistral AI, based in Paris, is seeking Engineering Managers to lead mission-critical systems powering our AI platform and products. You will guide one or more product teams, balancing hands-on work with people leadership to deliver high-quality software for millions of developers and users.

You will work closely with Product Managers, elevate engineering standards, and shape how the organization builds at scale while maintaining a strong team culture and clear processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant professional work experience.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Proficiency in one of the following languages: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Golang.
• Experience with building and leading high-performing teams.
• Experience with working with cross functional teams like product, design, business, etc.
• Experience with project management and planning.
• Ownership and capacity to ship products end-to-end.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Low ego and team spirit mindset.
• Autonomous and self-starter.

Responsabilités

• Empower Your Team(s): Act as the clear point of contact for your team and its projects. Remove obstacles and unblock execution.
• Lead Delivery and Accountability: Own the delivery of your team’s roadmap and ensure projects are shipped with quality and performance.
• Bridge Product and Technology: Define the roadmap and priorities with Product Managers and drive prioritization.
• Hands-on Technical Leadership: Stay involved in architecture, system design, coding, reviews and technical decisions.
• Process and Clarity: Define and evolve team processes and execution rituals.
• Raise the Engineering Bar: Encourage ownership, knowledge sharing and rotation of responsibilities.
