Job summary

HelloFresh, Paris office, is looking for a dedicated Junior Category Manager for European Herbs to begin a career in strategic procurement. You will support a portfolio of approximately £10m in annual spend across 6 European markets with close mentorship from an experienced team.

You will learn the full category management cycle, support supplier relationships, assist with tender processes, and help track cost and quality performance while coordinating cross‑functionally with Supply Chain, FSQA,

Qualifications

• Recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous internship, placement, or academic project experience in an analytical or commercial environment is a plus.
• A genuine interest in food, agriculture, or global supply chains — curiosity about where ingredients come from will serve you well here!

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day procurement activities for the European Herbs category, including monitoring order status and tracking shortages.
• Assist with the Herbs category strategy by gathering market data and tracking supplier performance and risks across 6 markets.
• Help with tender processes, data preparation, supplier briefings, and preliminary commercial analysis.
• Maintain cost reporting, invoice tracking, and supplier data for the Herbs category.
• Act as a secondary point of contact for Herbs suppliers across Europe and assist with meetings materials.
• Coordinate with Teamlead for supplier meetings, joint business planning, and contract discussions.
• Track supplier performance metrics (OTIF, quality, sustainability) and escalate risks as needed.
• Support cross-dock supply chain pilot by coordinating communication between Procurement, Supply Chain Ops, and suppliers.
• Provide analytical support across strategic initiatives in Fruit Bags, Avocados, and Sustainability.
• Collaborate with Product, FSQA, and Operations to ensure procurement documentation stays aligned.
• Research market dynamics in herbs and fresh produce, including seasonality and pricing trends, for team discussions.
