Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited in Paris seeks an experienced J2EE Platform Administrator to maintain and optimize JBOSS/Tomcat hosting environments, ensure patch and deprecation plans, and drive operational excellence.

You will work in a production setting, monitor logs, size capacity, and collaborate in Agile Scrum teams to deliver reliable web applications on Red Hat Linux and Apache.

Qualifications

• Extensive production experience with JBOSS, Tomcat and FatJar.

• Familiarity with Apache ecosystem and relaunch processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational state of J2EE hosting platforms (JBOSS, Tomcat, FatJar, Apache).
• Deploy and operate application servers and web servers; ensure patch and deprecation plans are enforced.
• Monitor, analyze and optimize system performance; diagnose faults.
• Support capacity planning (FMV) and provide tuning recommendations.
• Collaborate in project teams to define standard JEE components.

Background:

This position aims to improve the quality and reliability of computer systems. This role is mainly focused on the operation and optimization of J2EE application servers

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the operational state of J2EE hosting platforms (Monitoring, Availability, Resilience – BCP & DRP)
• Deploy and operate JEE application servers (JBOSS, Tomcat, FatJar) and web servers (Apache)
• Integrate, test and validate operating procedures
• Implement and enforce patch management policy and manage the deprecation of web and application servers
• Perform FMV capacity sizing and planning
• Provide support for hosted applications: performance analysis, fault diagnosis, and tuning
• Assist in the implementation of the project and contribute to the definition of JEE standard technical components
