ALTEN is seeking a skilled Functional Analyst / Business Analyst to drive requirements assessment, detailed functional design, and validation across complex engineering and IT projects. You will liaise with Product Management, customers, and development teams to ensure alignment and delivery.]

Responsibilities include writing specification documents, validating functionality, and supporting production with incident investigations. A Master’s degree in CS and a software background are preferred.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• Background in software development is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Assess requirements and analyze business requirements submitted by Product Management or customers.
• Size specification and validation work.
• Write Feasibility Studies, Solution Overview Documents, Interface Control Documents, Product Specifications, User guides and present functional walk-throughs to stakeholders.
• Interface with relevant divisions to identify interactions with other Amadeus applications and ensure functional compatibility.
• Contribute to innovation and product evolution
• Validate the product to ensure compliance of the delivered functionality and system integrity, and give sign off.
• Ensure production integrity by investigating, validating and prioritizing reported incidents.
• Provide inputs for the test strategy and defect investigation in Production to ensure compliance of the delivered functionality and system integrity.
• Interface with Product Management, Project management and Development teams.
• Interface with internal or external customers during requirements understanding, functional specification, and implementation phases.
• Propose actions & process for easy adoption of the solutions.
• Follow up project risks and report proactively to Management/Stakeholders.
• Provide visibility on project advancement and carry the strategic vision for our solution.
• For typical projects liaise with Product Management to build and sign off the Statement of Requirement; coordinate with customers during early phases and/or implementation time.
• Provide level 4 support and maintenance on delivered functionalities; design the product or feature and write its specifications.
• Coordinate project phases with stakeholders (development, QA) and review/sign off QA test plans.
• Be part of release sign-off and risk assessment.

OBJECTIVES

Assess requirements

• Build, maintain and share the functional knowledge of our processes, services and usage of end user products.
• Analyze business requirements submitted by Product Management or customers applications.
• Size specification and validation work.

Carry out functional design

• Write Feasibility Studies, Solution Overview Documents, Interface Control Documents, Product Specifications, User guides and present functional walk-throughs to all concerned stakeholders
• Interface with relevant divisions and departments to identify interactions with other Amadeus applications and ensure functional compatibility.
• Contribute to innovation and product evolution

Overview validation

• Validate the product to ensure compliance of the delivered functionality and system integrity, and give sign off
• Ensure production integrity by investigating, validating and prioritizing reported incidents.
• Provide inputs for the test strategy and defect investigation in Production in order to ensure compliance of the delivered functionality and system integrity.

Manage relations with key stakeholders

• Interface and communicate with Product Management, Project management and Development teams.
• Interface with the internal or external customer(s) during requirements understanding, functional specification, and implementation phases.
• Propose relevant actions & process for easy adoption of the solutions.

Manage Project (gradual ramp up, depends on experience)

• Follow up project risks, and report proactively to Management/Stakeholders.
• Provide visibility on the project advancement to the full chain of stakeholders.
• Carry the strategic vision for our solution.

For a typical project, our daily work convers mainly those parts of product lifecycle:

• Liaise with Product Management to help building the Statement of Requirement, and sign it off
• Liaise with Customers (internal / external) when they are involved (in the early phases and/or at implementation time)
• Provide level 4 support and maintenance on delivered functionalities
• Design the product or feature and write its specifications
• Coordinate the project phases with our stakeholders (development, QA, etc.), and provide visibility on its progress
• Review and sign off QA test plan
• Be part of release sign-off and risk assessment
