Finatal is seeking a senior investment professional in Paris to lead origination, evaluation and execution of lower-to-mid-market buyout opportunities across Europe. You will develop relationships with intermediaries, management teams and corporate counterparties to generate proprietary deal flow and drive value creation with portfolio companies.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Private Equity experience.
• Based in Paris or able to commute regularly, with in-office presence most of the week.
• Strong track record of originating and leading transactions from origination to completion.
• Excellent financial modelling and valuation capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to build senior relationships and manage stakeholders.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.

Responsabilités

• Assess opportunities with focus on carve-outs, special situations and complex businesses.
• Lead financial modelling, valuation analyses and due diligence processes.
• Prepare and present investment committee materials and investment recommendations.
• Take ownership of negotiations and transaction execution alongside Partners and senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with portfolio company management on strategic and operational value creation initiatives.
• Support portfolio company boards and oversight of value creation plans across the portfolio.
• Mentor and support junior investment professionals.

Finatal is partnered with a global lower to middle-market private equity fund focused on acquiring and transforming businesses across Europe and North America. The firm specialises in lower mid-market buyouts, complex carve-out transactions, special situations and operational value creation opportunities.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly active investment team, taking a senior leadership role across origination, execution and portfolio value creation while working closely with senior management and portfolio company leadership teams.

The Role:

• Lead the origination, evaluation and execution of lower to mid-market buyout opportunities across Europe.
• Develop and maintain relationships with intermediaries, management teams and corporate counterparties to generate proprietary deal flow.
• Assess investment opportunities, with a particular focus on carve-outs, special situations and complex businesses.
• Lead financial modelling, valuation analysis and due diligence processes.
• Prepare and present investment committee materials and investment recommendations.
• Take ownership of negotiations and transaction execution alongside Partners and senior stakeholders.
• Work closely with portfolio company management teams on strategic and operational value creation initiatives.
• Support portfolio company boards and oversee value creation plans across the portfolio.
• Mentor and support junior investment professionals.

Requirements:

• 8+ years' experience in Private Equity.
• Based in Paris, or able to commute regularly, with the expectation of being in the Paris office the majority of the week.
• Strong track record of originating, leading and executing transactions from origination through to completion.
• Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to build senior relationships and originate investment opportunities.
• Strong commercial judgement and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
