GP Bullhound is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst in Paris, permanent. The role involves financial modelling, market research, and preparing pitch books for potential clients. You will assist in due diligence, drafting transaction materials, and coordinating with deal teams to support execution.

The ideal candidate has a finance/economics degree, experience in M&A at a top firm, and strong numeracy with proficient Microsoft Office skills. Fluency in English and French is highly desirable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree with a finance or economics focus.
  • Experience in M&A transactions at bulge bracket or boutique bank.
  • Financial modelling and drafting skills with strong numeracy.
  • Microsoft Office skills and a basic understanding of accounting.
  • FCA Regulated.

Your Role
  • Financial Modeling: working with various financial models to evaluate opportunities, assess company valuations, and forecast financial performance
  • Conduct market research on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor analysis to provide insights to clients and senior dealmakers
  • Assisting with the preparation of pitch books and presentations for potential clients
  • Due Diligence and conducting analysis to verify the accuracy of information provided
  • Providing execution support to assist in drafting transaction documents, preparing presentations for client meetings, and coordinating with various parties involved in the deal
Responsibilities
  • Preparation of company marketing documents through effective workshops with the client management team (e.g. executive summary, investment memorandum, investor presentation, financial model)
  • Highly organized teamwork to manage a transaction process, including well thought-out investor and buyer engagement throughout a road show, effective communication with the client and careful coordination of other advisors and service providers
  • Understand the nuances of transaction structures and key elements of deal negotiation, including legal and other documentation
  • Build sector expertise and a network to promote the firm through publishing research reports, pitching for mandates, organizing and being involved in company events and attending public conferences
  • Provide training and support to other members of the team, particularly in terms of transaction process and internal analytical models and tools
  • Assist clients in our chosen sectors in assessing their strategic options with the ability to be hired as financial advisor if the client elects to proceed with a relevant transaction. Support the client during each phase of the process, including advising shareholders on intrinsic valuation, preparing transaction materials, assessing best potential partners, facilitating introductions, contacts and negotiations between parties, all with a focus on ensuring the best possible outcome
Your Experience
  • Bachelor degree with a finance or economics focus
  • Previous experience being fully involved in M&A transactions, probably at a bulge bracket or boutique bank
  • Financial modelling and drafting skills along with strong numeracy
  • Microsoft Office skills and a basic understanding of accounting
  • FCA Regulated
Your Qualifications
  • Fluent in English and French is highly desirable
  • Master’s degree educated in finance, economics or STEM subject
  • Tech sector exposure
